Arabic Calligraphy and Vegetal Arts Workshop Led by Nada Odeh, artist, curator & educator A hands-on workshop introducing participants to Arabic calligraphy and Islamic floral (vegetal) arts through a visual presentation, live demonstration, and guided artmaking. The workshop explores these traditions as living cultural practices that continue to influence contemporary Middle Eastern and North African art. What you will experience: • Learn the history and cultural significance of Arabic calligraphy and Islamic vegetal arts • Explore their influence on modern and contemporary Arab, Middle Eastern, and North African culture • Practice foundational calligraphy strokes and decorative patterns • Create a personal artwork inspired by traditional and contemporary designs We are so excited to host Nada for this workshop!
