About Dance Innovations

Dance Innovations Creative Dance is an introduction to the fundamentals of dance. Dance Innovations offers a relaxed, fun and open environment for girls ages 4-6 and 7-11. Dance Innovations works to make all students comfortable so that they can experience the joy, fitness, and self-expression that dance provides.
Unlike most traditional dance classes, Dance Innovations provides classes in 8 week sessions. There is no long-term commitment for girls who want to try it out!

Creative Dance Ages 4-6:
Girls will get an introduction to movement and dance through a series of games and activities. Students will explore movement and learn about dance technique in a playful, fun class in a warm environment. Moms are welcome to observe in-studio for the first class and are welcome to stay in the waiting room from then on.

Class begins with a warm-up which includes excersizes that develop and improve balance, coordination and flexibility all in an enjoyable environment that your child will love.
Class will continue with some movements across the floor, brief combinations and lots of fun, dance-based games to get your child moving.
The class will finish up with a brief cool-down and a story time that is connected to the movements presented in class that day.

Creative Dance Ages 7-11:
A program that introduces the fundamentals of dance to girls. Students will explore movement and dance in a fun and easygoing environment. They will learn different modern dance techniques through a series of excercises, and will have the opportunity to make their own dances!

Class will begin with a warm-up to improve balance and flexibilty and to encourage proper technique in a comfortable and fun environment.
Class will continue with combinations and exercises from different genres of dance set to a variety of music styles. This will introduce your child to the world of movement and dance, all in a fun and supportive environment. Students will also be given the opportunity to create their own movements and combinations so that they may explore their own style of dancing
Class will end with a brief cool-down.
The last class of the session, students will participate in an informal studio presentation showcasing their progress.
